Jet 2
« on: November 12, 2017, 19:33:10 PM »
Just returned from a week in Lanzarote and must give Jet 2 a big thumbs-up.
New roomy planes, best of all they pick up your cases about 2 hours before the coach transfer to the airport and you don't see them again until you take them off the luggage belt at the other end   :)
Apparently this facility was first introduced on mainland Spain, not sure if it will be available in Turkey.
Happy days 8)

I was a bit generous with the roomy description, there seems more legroom but the aisle is still a bit
Narrow when the trolley is parked   :)

I hadn't flown scheduled long haul for a number of years until recently.

I travelled to and from Los Angeles on Virgin "Premium Economy" getting back only last week.

It was like economy was 20 years ago apart from the electronic entertainment. Indeed, the seats were narrower than I remember.

Of course, it could also be that I'm twice the size I was!

The aisles were also impassable when the trolley came around.

I have travelled extensively in my life and don't remember an aisle that was passable when the trolleys were out?

First Class and old fashioned Business Class (you could squeeze by).

It's been a long time since I travelled in either - I pay my own fares these days.

No chance of getting by in Economy - ever.

I have to say that the Thomson dreamliner plane is very comfortable and roomy. Only managed to book with it once  from Manchester to Dalaman.
