A good solicitor please
« on: November 10, 2016, 13:05:09 PM »
We will probably need a good English speaking solicitor next June so that we can add my name to our Tapu.

Has anyone got a recommendation for us?

I expect to have to contact them well before to let them know what we want doing, how much it will cost, etc.

Thanks.

Why a solicitor?  Someone like Cenk or Ronnie could do it just as professionally and for a fraction of the cost?

You've got that UK mindset that thinks everything to do with property needs a solicitor.

Or try Ali Tekin who did some work for us an the people in our group of villas.  He handled everything perfectly at a fraction of the cost of a Solicitor.   http://www.rightbuyturkey.com/right_buy_turkey_about_us.aspx
He is married to a British Lady called Judy and we have been delighted with there service.

You do not need a solicitor but you will need a translator. Adding a name to a tapu is treated as selling the property to the new name on the tapu. You go to tapu office and pay the cost of selling the property to new name. No money has to change hands, merely a paper excercise.

Thanks everyone. I'll take your advice and ask one of the above if they can help.

Much appreciated.  :)
