A couple of questions
« on: June 17, 2016, 21:48:19 PM »
A bit of a daft question, but when a house says it has central heating, what sort of fuel are they referring to and what would the costs be?

Long term rentals for Ovacik area, any recommendations please? Anyone know what the approx cost of a private villa with/without pool.1,2 bedrooms.

Thanks for help.

It could be any fuel type. You need to ask.

If it's gas, it'll be bottled and VERY expensive. If it's solid fuel fired ( coal / wood / pellets ) you've got to consider bulk fuel storage space as well as cost.

...and if it's Ovacik you need to factor in how much colder it is up there out of season.

Actually you are not entirely correct KKOB with "If it's gas, it'll be bottled and VERY expensive" - ours was gas but underground tank, not bottled.

It was still VERY expensive though   ;)

Yes indeed scunner,  once bitten n all that. Hence looking at centrally heated ones. The one I am thinking of has a soba as well and air-conditioning, I will be straight into fethiye for ufo heaters n rugs if it materialises.  Will find out what central heating it is too.
I think I want to find a rental and not buy this time.

Thanks for info

I think a Soba is a great idea to keep CH costs down, because CH is always expensive over there. If you haven't had one before, find out how to load one for maximum heat and efficiency, the difference can be huge.

You are right again on UFOs, although they are very directional and short term -- their heat seems to disappear right after you turn them off :D

What are you going to do with all that time you saved by only typing CH, twice ?   ;)
