SGK Price Rise
« on: October 09, 2013, 13:31:33 PM »
I have just been to pay my SGK and the cost has risen from 235TL to 260.64TL.  Has anyone else paid this month and had the same price rise?  I was just wondering if this was the normal cost of living rise that we get every year. Phil

SGK is the Turkish National Health Insurance Scheme, which foreigners can now join if they have held a Residence Permit for 12 months.

The cost increases twice per year in January and July, currently it is 245.16 TL which covers a MARRIED couple and their under age (children) dependents . I stress married because if a couple are not married then each partner has to pay the full amount.

I paid our January payment and it has gone up, but then I believe it rises each Jan and July with inflation.
