We recently renewed our Residents Permit, and today I was using my Bagkur in Esnaf when they said that my Bagkur has been stopped
& I must go to the SGK office to sort it out (after paying full wack for the treatment). It turns out that I should have provided a photocopy of the renewal of Residency to the SGK office as soon as I had renewed it. My husband doesn't need to as the Bagkur is paid by him.
So, we had to take photocopies of the Residents Permit, photocopies of my Passport and they also asked for a photocopy of our Marriage Certificate (which we didn't take as we have not long supplied them with a translated and noterised copy), and all was processed and we took a slip of paper back to Esnaf to be reimbursed the excess we had just paid.
The journey from, and back to, ESNAF was peppered with expletives (mine), and I wait (grimly) to see what the next Bagkur twist will be. Maybe SGK should be a sport in the Olympics
