Help with Holiday
« on: July 19, 2012, 10:02:19 AM »
Hello All,

I booked a holiday for me and my partner for the 24th August until the 5th september. in total the cost was roughly £730 bed and breakfast at the carmina hotel.

Sadly we have just split up and i dont have a clue what to do with the holiday, i dont want to go on this as it will not be the same and wont enjoy the experience.

I booked everything individually too save money (hindsight shows that this was silly). i booked the flights with jet 2 so i wont get the money back.

I just came on here to see if anybody has been in the same boat? or if anyboy has any ideas on what i could do.

Thanks so much for any information giving.

If only life was that easy. I think ive came to the conclusion that i am definetly not going so i have been thinking of what to do.

I have been thinking about trying to sell it on to anybody else interested so that i could get some money back and is not completly wasted. To change the names i think it will be about £80pp.

The flight is from glasgow and if anybody would be interested with more details just ask.

Thanks very much.

If they don't sell then I think you can cancel them and request your taxes back. You have to request this though and I think they still charge a admin fee for the service (they would wouldn't they?).

Did you book directly with he hotel or through someone like Booking.com?

Booked the hotel through Hotels
i'm not too sure it just says that it is un-refundable if you do not go.

I would rather somebody use it instead of it going to waste so i'm not sure on what is going to happen with it.

Shame - that's why I always try to use booking.com - you can cancel with many of their hotels right up to the day before travel.

Good luck selling them. I hope it works out for you  :)
