How is the promenade looking these days?

Hello!

Just wondered how the promenade from Feithye to Calis is going these days? So hope to visit again soon! Was just curious. Xx

Lots of work going on with new drainage (I think), lots of diggers, bumpy paving etc. etc. which all makes it very awkward to cycle along there.  Should look fabby when it's finally finished though...whenever that will be

Very few cars on the coast road now, just earth movers, jcbs, trucks etc etc. With the new marina taking shape behind the BP garage, the new storms drains, the electric cables being buried & the new street lamps being erected in every street there are at least 2 areas which are now almost impassable. Cycling between the hospital & Doga Safasi ( the last bar out of Fethiye) is not possible at the present time.

How far up is it currently? Last year it stopped just past the fishing boat/private marina

Distance wise there is no change from last year, just more mess from the 'improvements' that are in progress.

Lets hope some progress is made by the next season. I visited in mid May and the road running alongside the BP garage was awful. The rain didn't help mind.
Does anyone have any idea of the types of businesses that will be dotted along this part of the new promenade when finished?

Cycling into Fethiye is a bit dodgy at the moment. The promenade by the town square is being used by the lorries and diggers and will need to be rebuilt when they have finished.

The area in front of the Culture centre has just been dug up and the little leather kiosk by the juice bar has gone.

Seems like all efforts are going into this area so not sure when they will finish the other part of the prom into Calis.
