I've seen someone out here a while back travelled with a broken foot.
It maybe advisable (ask a doc) to possibly have the pot redone a shade slacker as the foot may 'expand' out here due to the hotter climate?? Or i think you can get those 'ski boot' type ones that are adjustable too??

Check with your airline about the plaster before you leave.   If it's only on your foot it should be fine, if you have a leg in plaster, I know T.C. require you to purchase two extra seats.

You must also have a fit to fly document from your Consultant/GP

Charles tee-hee ! A mate of mine has a similar dilema so it will be interesting to see what kind of feed back you get. Good luck, hope you make it.

How long have you had your foot in plaster for ??

There is every chance you could get a lightweight walker fitted

You need indeed a fit to fly document and the plaster needs to be cut open so your foot will be able to expand during the flight.

Depending on how long ago you have broken your foot, you might need a new plaster done in Turkey.

You're going to need a holiday after you have hobbled back and forth to your GP/ Consultant and had your plaster cut open and then redone in Turkey, twice cos it will be the same going back - and if you have to buy two extra seats (return) if it's your leg and not just your foot you're going to need a valium or six too  ;)

When Mrs Scunner broke her ankle the hospital refused to issue a fit to fly document for our flight back from the UK. This was most inconvenient as we were flying to Rhodes, where we had a week's all inclusive holiday booked prior to catching the boat to Fethiye. Never mind though, the kids and I had a great time.

If you obtain said document from Consultant it covers flight both ways.
