Well, Steve and his company, Sumerman of Istanbul, have got the job. They're taking care of our move from Northants to Kaya Koyu. The container's booked for the 17th and we fly out from Bristol with the dogs on the 20th.

June,

We don't know her name yet. We'll be meeting her when we get out there. Soon as I can, I will let you know. Email me your mobile number.

Sam,

Seriously, You and kids are welcome to call round. Send me an email and I'll let you have our mobile numbers. You can have the hot water, tea bag and milk too!

By the way, send the email to me @btinternet.com  NOT  @aol.com

A 'check list' would be such a great idea for those of us who are collecting information from this forum, ready for when it's our turn to make our property purchase & move to Turkey. (For us, it will hopefully be around April/May next year.) However, we now have so many printouts, that it is all becoming a bit of a confusing muddle!
Has anyone got any good tips please[?]
Tony & Sue

Hi Tony and Sue,
I know what you mean, you just want as much info as possible and then it just ends up being one big mess.

Don't know if its any help but I got myself a couple of ring binders, quite big ones and also two packs of coloured dividers the ones with a sticky out bit that you can write on.
I then put everything in the binders and wrote on the sticky out bit what each was, i.e.
Banks, Pets, Furniture, Elecrical goods, customs, Bars, Efes....!! etc etc I found at least then I could go straight to what I wanted to find instead of wadding through loads of paper.

Hope it helps, and good luck with your plans.

June

I agree Tony and Sue I think a checklist is badly needed. I've tried to do a sort of portfolio and I am just as confused.  Good idea June.
