Sofa reupholsters
« on: October 29, 2014, 11:31:38 AM »
Can anyone recommend somewhere that does a good job in sofa re-upholstery?

If there is anywhere to avoid would be helpful too.

And, any idea of approximate cost for two or 3 seater sofas.

Thanks

Nichola

We had our sofas and chairs recovered in September by Detay Teklstil & Home in Tasyaka (opposite the big fruit and veg shop) we had three large sofas and five armchairs recovered including new cushions (back and seat) and cost was 4000 lira.

We chose a good quality fine beige stripe fabric and when they brought them the first time the stripes on some of the cushions didn't quite line up while some of them did...the chap tried to say that it would an extra 12 metres of fabric to have them all matching blah blah ! We stood our ground and he then shrugged and said "ok I will change" and he brought them back a couple of days later and they look really great. He even bought along 12 matching dining chair cushions (for both indoor and outdoor tables) free of charge as he said he wanted us to be happy.

Thank you both for your suggestions and recommendations.

It's always good to hear how places deal with complaints/problems, it says a lot about a business and shows if they really care about doing a good job and having a satisfied customer.
