The Commonwealth Games - your highlights please
« on: August 04, 2014, 22:45:21 PM »
Been so many for me - mainly Scottish of course but Jo Pavey was inspirational.

Ross Murdoch bubbling on the podium (everyone knows real men cry). Erraid Davies' infectious smile after winning a bronze medal at the tender age of 13, Tattie Marshall's gesture (hopefully not directed to our Southern friends) and many, many more.

But without doubt, my highlight has to be the displayed by Lindsay Sharp.

A fabulous display of sheer guts and determination in the face of extreme adversity that brought a lump to the throat and more than a tear to the eye.

A bit of a funny one for me.
Wee Charlie Flynn's speech to the commentator after winning his gold medal in the boxing had me in stitches.  Typical Glasgow slang and his Mammy does his washing!!!
Priceless  :)
