We bought the first house we viewed. Within 4 days we had signed, paid a deposit on all our furniture, white goods and curtains from different shops in Fethiye. Went back to Turkey 3 months later the house was built the furniture in and curtains were up.  It was that quick. Not sure if it is still like that. But you will know the right property for you. The feeling you get will be very strong. Maybe even a few tears will be shed as you realise you have found the one for you.
Wishing Slikmrs and Menthol all the luck in finding your dream home.

Ha! I nearly cried just reading your post Partygirl!

I am being super hard and ruthless  >:( and really whittling down my list of possible 'ones' that I have so far only seen online. I'm not very good at it. And you are so right, we'll just know when we've found it. Thank you for the good wishes   :)

And I believe slikmrs's uk house is actually in the paper for sale. One step closer......   ;)

Had to come to bed out the way..first viewing tommorow at 10am...what sort of people view at a10am sunday ..tut.

Ended up having a chinese so the house wont smell of cooking, and believe slik doesn,t want to be going within 30 paces of  that toilet until after they have left tommorow.

I am leaving him to stay here with agent, i,ll hide out down the car boot until I get the all clear to come home..talking of car boots, that will have the full ironing basket and coat hangers in..didn,t have time to iron.:(

I hope this first time buyer will be my last time buyer cos I don,t think my nerves or my marriage can live through too many days like today..

Fingers crossed
Bernie

That's because moving house is up there with death and divorce on the stress-o-meter!

It will be SO worth it though. Remember that.

And the toilet and husband line made me laugh so much  ;D
