Joanna Lumley on the Silk Road

Joanna went across Turkey in this week's episode.Bet she flew a lot of it !It would have taken ages in a car.

Oh yes,I forgot that bit. I liked the Cappadocia part and she certainly had a lively time with all those children farther east.It is very much  a country of vast expanses.It takes hours in a car to get to those places.

Yep. I've driven up to Sivas a couple of times for the Kangal Festival. That's about 650 miles each way via Konya and Kayseri.

 The cheese factory in Bogatepe looks well worth a visit. Apparently there's also a Cheese Museum in the town.
