Hi my name is Pam
I am moving to Calais Beach area the end of June and looking forward very much to meeting and making some new acquaintances.
I image I will have a lot of questions and would appreciate your feedback and assistance.

Predominately I will be on my own with my partner visiting for periods as he works away for 8weeks at a time.

I look forward to some messages.

Pam  :-)

Welcome Pam.
There's loads going on in and around Calis for those lucky enough to live there.
Walking groups, quiz nights, knitting groups and the charities are always looking for volunteers too.  I'm sure there's loads more but that's all I can remember off the top of my head.
Good luck with move  :)

Hi everyone

Thank you for my welcome messages.

Regarding broadband and having a router installed - is this an easy process?

Thanks

Pam

Once you have your residency visa, getting broadband is fairly painless. There are ways of doing it without residency, but the choice becomes greater with.

Hi & welcome Pam, We moved out here last April & haven't regretted it one bit, Keeping myself busy cycling (good idea to get a bike as Calis is mostly flat)  & walking everywhere when not using the dolmus,  You can get a Kent card(basically a card you top up ) for the dolmus which works out cheaper & easier then passing the driver money,  internet we are with finet & pay 50TL a month speeds between 4 & 8 which is sufficient to run phones, iPads & firestick /android box which we use for tv, no need for a,VPN or the monthly tv packages offered out here, I believe a friend if ours recently paid 300TL for Installation ,There is plenty of places to eat & drink that you wouldn't know existed until you start noticing them as we do even now 13 months in, I hope you enjoy it as much as we are.
