I am staying in a villa up hill around Ovacik June 30th-9th July, didnt even cross my mind that there might be scorpians,or snakes for that matter and am now absolutely wetting myself! Thanks guys!! Is there any bug spray or something i can cover myself with to deter these creatures cos i am now petrified about being bitten!

Well you could spray yourself with that expanding foam, a scorpion can't sting through that :D

Joking aside, forget it - your chances of being stung/bitten are next to nothing, seeing one is pretty unlikely. I have never seen a scorpion in the 'wild' and I lived in Turkey for 5 years  :)

Relax and enjoy.

I would worry more about getting hit by a dolmus then getting stung by a scorpion.

Yes that would be unlucky to have both happen like that  ;)

Just wondered, is there anyone who saw a scorpion in Calis area ? I didnt see any for 8 years and feel comfortable, but want to be sure as I hate them  :)
