The mark-up on wines here is huge. When I first arrived I was lucky (
) enough to be able to buy a case each of red and white from my agent (who also did boat trips and tours) I bought a case of 12 for 36 lira so a bottle was 3 lira. That was 2 years ago and I don't think they would have gone up that much. Have to admit, though, it was revolting to drink but OK for cooking
